The post, I mean. I’ll have to dash this off, writing briefly, because I’m too sluggish, too full of good Indian food (rajma, rice, potato-and-green been sabzi, roti and kulfi falooda) to do more. I spent the afternoon with family. Parents and cousins and children of cousins. I brought a Matisse sticker-book for the kids, the kind you find in egg-head bookstores full of anxious Baby Einstein buying parents. To my surprise (well, it is egg head, well-meaning adult stuff), the children enjoyed it and even got into little fights over who would use what sticker on which background. “Hey,” I said, “you have to share, okay?” So, they shushed themselves, toned down the squealing and squabbling, and went to work. Adorable.
